My name is Anthony Fuhrman. I am a amateur strongman that competes at the national level. I got into strongman in Nov 2014 in Colorado Springs, CO. After training with some real names in the sport such as 3 X WSM Brain Shaw, ASM Mike Burke, Pro Strongman Stan Carradine, Pro Strongman Tyler Stickle, and 3 X Scotland’s strongest man Ken Nowicki. These gentlemen not only helped me learn but pushed me more in competitions. My first strongman show was North Texas Strongest man in DEC 2014, I came in 3rd in the MW (under 231 class). I next competed at Parker days in Denver Colorado, I came in 3rd again (this time to Ken Nowicki!). I made the decision to move up to HW and not cut weight anymore. In July 2015 I won South Dakotas Strongest man HW class, and earned a birth to nationals in my first year in the sport. In Nov of this year I traveled to North Carolina to compete at the Strength challenge and won the HW class again earning a trip to Nationals in 2016. My next planned competition is NC strongest man in April of 2016. The goal is to win and earn an invitation to the Arnold Classic! I am also a SSG in the US Army, I am an active duty recruiter here in Brandon. I am in my senior year of a bachelors in exercise science, and hold CPT from ISSA. I am also certified S&C, exercise therapy, and youth trainer through them. I have been training Soldiers for years, and have a very strong passion for passing on knowledge learned and helping others achieve their goals.
