Yolanda Cate

Our new instructor is Yolanda Cate, a long-time member of CrossFit BNI.

Yolanda took her first yoga class in 1999. The class was offered at the gym where she worked out at the time. Practicing yoga clearly provided many benefits: stress relief, injury prevention from working out, and an overall feeling of wellness and balance, so she continued practicing a minimum of once per week, more on stressful weeks. Nineteen years later, an empty nest and the curiosity to learn why yoga was so effective in helping connect the mind, body and spirit lead her to become a certified yoga instructor in 2018. Her 200-hour training was completed in Tampa at Bella Prana Yoga and Meditation studio.

Yolanda’s professional background includes managing OT Rehab Solutions, LLC, an occupational therapy, diabetes self-management education and continuing education private practice. She has been a member of a CrossFit gym for 8 years, the last 3 at BNI. She credits yoga and CrossFit for keeping her sane. Her goal is to share the benefits yoga provides with others, focusing on teaching restorative and yin yoga classes to a variety of populations and in a variety of settings.

To start, Yoga will be offered on the following Sundays at 11:15 am:
